I find myself quite affected by @PennyRed 's blogging and tweetings.
She has recently been talking about sexual violence from a personal perspective. The subject at the moment when this blog entry is made being in the public eye due to allegations of rape against Wikileaks founder and compounded by ludicrous and bizarre comments by a US senator and a former member of the Labour Party.
The probability of a woman suffering sexual violence is relatively low on a yearly basis, but compound that over the life time of an individual at its really far too common and likely that we know many people who have been raped and from the perspective of Laurie Penny, there must be many men who do the raping. Many of our friends, members of family, etc. I'm not sure how to process this.
